Green chip forayed into Solar PV segment in July 2015 as the Solar market in India started to surge upwards. India has a target of 100GW of Solar by 2022, which is being driven by the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) and is aimed at reducing the cost of solar power generation in the country. In line with the JNNSM scheme Green chip has set a target of 1 GW of commissioned Ground Mounted Grid-Connected Solar PV projects

To achieve our target, Green chip has developed a core team of professionals with expertise and knowledge of the solar market, policies and the technology. The core team includes from individuals the Engineering, Procurement, Business Development, Legal Finance. As the market matures Green chip will evolve as a Leading Solar Power Developer and will contribute to the JNNSM targets actively.
